IT Manager (Full Time)

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time (40 hours) position of IT Manager. This position reports directly to the Town Manager and is responsible for managing all aspects of the Town’s information system resources and related end user support. Performs routine server administration, installs and maintains personal computers and related peripheral equipment, diagnoses and resolves hardware and software related issues, and makes recommendations to leadership regarding the purchase of new technology equipment and upgrades. Work entails the application of systems analysis techniques and involves regular exposure to information of a sensitive and confidential nature requiring the exercise of considerable judgment and discretion. The ideal candidate will be a versatile generalist with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate broad application of information technology knowledge.  A complete job description is available HERE.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience in IT support or repair required. Advanced computer training or certification, such as A+, Network+, and Microsoft, is desirable.  Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:  The Town of Gorham offers a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, and paid time off to eligible employees, including a choice between two excellent health insurance plans with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), $1,500 annual medical buyout for individuals declining health coverage, a 457(b) deferred compensation retirement plan with a 7.5% employer match after six months, earned vacation and sick time, and 12 paid holidays per year. Minimum annual salary range for the IT Manager begins at $62,733; salary offered depends on experience, qualifications, and budget availability.
