The Town of Gorham, Maine (“Town”) is seeking a qualified firm to construct a 24’ by 40’ Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) Storage and Maintenance Facility.

Sealed proposals will be received at the Town Manager’s Office, Suite 1, Municipal Center, 75 South Street, Gorham, Maine 04038, and endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name of the Proposer, Contract Name, and Proposal number will be received until 1:00 PM (prevailing time) on JUNE 8, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened. Late, faxed or electronically submitted proposals will not be accepted. Proposals submitted shall be held open to acceptance for sixty days.

There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting to review the Town’s request and to examine the site at 1 PM, on TUESDAY MAY 30, 2023, at the Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South Street, Gorham, Maine. Town representatives will review the site details and specifications. A tour of the Site will be provided to attendees if requested at the meeting. All firms interested in submitting proposals are required to be represented at this meeting.

NOTE: All potential Proposers are reminded that information contained in submitted material will become a public record.

Any and all exceptions to this Request shall be clearly and explicitly stated in the firm’s submission. The successful Proposer shall supply the Town with a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract price, guaranteeing one hundred percent (100%) performance of the contract, including the guarantee period and free and clear of any and all liens, attachments and encumbrances. All bonds shall comply with the requirements of Maine state law, 14 M.R.S. § 871. Receipt of any addenda must be acknowledged in writing as part of a proposal. Each Proposer shall be responsible for ensuring that they have received any and all addenda. The Town shall not assume responsibility for the receipt by the Contractor for any addenda.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals. The Town may, in its sole discretion, re-advertise for Proposals using this RFP or a different request for proposals or solicitation.
