The Town of Gorham is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Customer Service Clerk in the Town Clerk’s Office. This position is responsible for processing vehicle registrations; accepting tax payments; issuing various licenses and certified copies of records; and other responsibilities as assigned by the Town Clerk.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse customer base. Must be a team player with the ability to display a high level of respect and professionalism in the workplace at all times. Must be able to prioritize tasks and perform highly detailed work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
One position is scheduled for 29 hours per week, and includes one evening until 6:30PM. A second position is scheduled for 20 hours per week and must be available to cover lunch breaks. Additional hours may be required at certain times of the year, such as election time. The pay range for this Grade 2 position starts at $16.80 per hour and is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
