Domestic Trade Grant Program Announced by Maine Department of Economic & Community Development

The Office of Business Development’s Domestic Trade has funding available for Maine’s businesses operating in target industries to build capacity for increased sales of products and services. The focus is to support businesses with efforts to drive sales through sales channel support, trade shows, marketing strategy, technical assistance/capacity building, and other trade assistance. The following industries are eligible for support:

  • Agriculture – Food and Beverage
  • Clean Energy
  • Construction
  • Seafood and Aquaculture
  • Forestry and forest products
  • Information Services
  • Logistics - Transportation and Warehousing
  • Manufacturing
  • Retail (including wholesale)

Eligible Industries

The program, being administered by the Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG), is open for applications, and the grants are open to businesses in pandemic-impacted industries across the state for activities that are directly related to increasing market reach and expanding sales activities.
