The annual Municipal Election has been called for Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for the purpose of electing three persons to the Town Council and two persons to the School Board. There is also a seat on the Portland Water District Board of Trustees available, to fill a vacancy until November 2022.
If you are unable to vote on Election Day, you may vote via an Absentee Ballot. You may request an absentee ballot by calling the Town Clerk's Office, coming into the Town Clerk's office or on line by clicking here. A ballot will be sent to you once we receive the offical ballot in October.
Absentee voting in-person will be available Monday, October 28th from 8:00am to 4:00pm , Tuesday, October 29th from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday, October 30th from 8:00am-4:00pm and Thursday, October 31st from 8:00am-6:30pm in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Center. Absentee ballots are only available until Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 6:30pm.
When does my voted Absentee Ballot have to be received by the Clerk?
To be counted, the Clerk must receive a voted Absentee Ballot delivered to the Town Clerk's Office by 8:00pm on Election Day - November 5, 2019. Any Absentee Ballots received after this time will not be counted.

Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm on Election Day. To view your assigned polling place by street address, click here.
- Ward 1-1: Gorham Middle School
- Ward 1-2: Little Falls Activity Center
- Ward 2: Gorham Muncipal Center, Shaw Gym
Please note that Ward 1 has been divided into two Polling Places:
- Ward 1-1 is at the Middle School on Weeks Road
- Ward 1-2 is at the Little Falls Activity Center on Acorn Street
