Backflow Prevention Device Requirement
The Portland Water District's (PWD) Cross Connection Control Program has announced that effective January 1, 2019, it will extend the requirement of backflow prevention devices to:
- New residential construction;
- Substantial renovations of buildings and internal plumbing systems;
- Fire sprinkler systems that are being upgraded.
