Full Time Driver/Operator

The Town of Gorham is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Driver/Operator in the Public Works Department. Responsibilities include operating heavy and light equipment and plowing and sanding roads in the winter.

The employee in this position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in a variety of weather conditions and must possess the stamina to work long hours. Weekend and holiday work may be required. Valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred and the ability to attain a Class B license within six months of employment is required. Must have a good driving record. Snow plowing experience preferred.
