Cable Franchise Agreement

Gorham Community Access Television was one of the first access channels to go on air in the state of Maine.

The original Franchise Agreement was activated on August 22, 1978.

The second contract was negotiated and finalized on February 2, 1993 for an initial term of 15 years with an automatic extension of 11 years. This agreement with the town of Gorham is up for renewal February 2, 2019.

UPDATE: January 2019

The Town of Gorham is presently in negotiation with Spectrum Cable Company which is a division of Charter Communications. This process can take several years to accomplish.
