Alert Test Information:

Maine Criminal Justice Academy:

This may be done by calling 207-877-8000 (there is a $50.00 fee for this test). Testing is no rmally scheduled for the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, Maine. This test must meet the Maine Criminal Justice Academy's minimum passing score for entrance into basic law enforcement training. Test questions are multiple choice and fall within the categories of Writing Skills and Reading Comprehension.


Where are the Alert Test administered other than at the Academy?

The Alert Tests are administered once a month off-site from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. For calendar year 2011 the off-site location will be the York County Community College located at 112 College Drive in Wells, Maine, Room B-107. The test will start promptly at 1:00 PM so please arrive by 12:30 PM. If you plan to take this test, please call the Academy to register so we have a headcount for each date. There is a $50.00 test fee that can be paid in cash or check made out to “Treasurer – State of Maine”. You will also need a government issued photo ID (Driver’s License). To register for the off-site Alert Test, please call Jim Birt at 877-8020.

Alert Test dates for 2011 to be held at York County Community College are:

January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21, October 19,
November 16, December 21
