APPLICATION FORMS
Printed application forms are available at the Planning Office and can be mailed or e-mailed upon request.
AGENDA SCHEDULING PROCEDURES
To be placed on the Agenda for a Planning Board meeting, the applicant must submit:
o Fifteen (15)* copies of the appropriate completed application form and supporting documents, stapled and folded together; with the signed original application on top;
o A letter of authorization, if the applicant is represented by an agent; and
o The required application fees and consulting escrow deposit.
All information must be organized in packets containing one copy of all submitted material.
Only complete applications for which all required information is submitted will be considered for placement on an upcoming Agenda, and only after completion of the staff review.
Space on an agenda may not be reserved by a call, letter, or partial submission.
* Ten (10) copies for minor site plans.
MEETINGS
The Planning Board meets regularly on the first Monday of the month, unless it is a holiday; in which case, the regular meeting is scheduled for the second Monday of the month. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. At the Gorham Municipal Center in Council Chambers. From Village Center turn on South Street (Rt.114 South). Take second right onto Morrill Avenue. Take second right onto Ball Park Road. The Municipal Center is located in the old Shaw Middle School on the right at the end of Ball Park Road.
If warranted by the number of pending or newly submitted applications, a second monthly meeting may be called, typically for the third Monday of the month.
LAND USE & DEVELOPMENT CODE
Copies of the Land Use and Development Code can be purchased in the Planning Department and Code Enforcement Office for $20.00.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The current Comprehensive Plan was adopted May 4, 1993, and amended August 2, 1994. Copies of this document can be purchased at the Planning Office for $18.50.
