How do I register to vote?
If you would like to register to vote in Gorham, please come into the Clerk’s office and fill out a voter registration card. It is important that you show identification and proof of your Gorham street address. Registration can take place anytime during our office hours. You may also register to vote on Election Day by showing identification and proof of your Gorham address.

If you are a student at USM and a legal resident of Gorham and want to register to vote here, you must have identification and proof of your Gorham residence. This could be a Maine driver’s license showing your residence address - not a post office box, a letter from the office of admissions, or mail that you have received at your Gorham address. The days before any election can be busy in our office, so we recommend you try to register to vote well before Election Day. If you move within Gorham or have a name change, let us know so we can keep our voter list up to date. If you have a different address, your ward and therefore your voting place may change. If you
